Welcome back to chriswasanon from a bright and sunny neothological S.W. corner of Scotland. The TrAnsCriber has cooked up another little goodie for you all. I've been to a gig right?...a concert and there I've stood at the door hanging onto something to stop the place from spinning around and now I come to think of it, I have said this more times than beans make five.
"I'm the Pontifex Maximus, you may kiss my ring!"
I am informed that this one went out over Indie. 103.1 radio LA. and OC. and other places in and around Los Angeles and A X the Inter rent on March 20. 2006.
Tina is at the controls...
Steve: You’re listening to Jonesy’s Jukebox on Indie 1031 on a kind-of-not-sure kind of weather today. Not sure if it’s gonna rain or shine. I’d lay money on a bit of moisture today. Wanna bet, Mr. Shovel it's gonna rain?
Mr. Shovel: No, I don’t…because I think it’s gonna.
Steve: Yeah? Did you have a word with your dad?
Mr. Shovel: Yes.
Steve: The neothologist? (sic)
Mr. Shovel: He told me a low pressure system is coming through, with the cumulonimbus clouds.
Steve: Hmm, fantastic. Um, we’ve got Todd…we’ve got the new Cars coming in at one o’clock, which is Todd Rundgren and I think, about two…at least two originals from The Cars. That’ll be fun, do a bit of jamming. I’m looking forward to that. Um mum mum…ooh mao mao mum mum ooh mao mao…(to Mr. Shovel) What?
Mr. Shovel: What’s that on your pinky?
Steve: I think they’re called, “rings”.
Mr. Shovel: You’ve got a pinky ring.
Steve: Yes. It’s a John Gotti special. It’s gold, with a diamond in the middle. Do you want to kiss it?
Mr. Shovel: No.
Steve: Why? Am I embarrassing you? Everyone else has kissed it.
Mr. Shovel: Yeah?
Steve: You have no interest?
Mr. Shovel: No.
Steve: Aw, Mr. Shovel. When are you gonna come around? (both laugh)
Mr. Shovel: You’ve got to get a couple of drinks in me, Steve.
Steve: How was uh, your, your adventure to South By Northeast?
Mr. Shovel: Yeah, we had a blast in Austin, for sure.
Steve: Yeah?
Mr. Shovel: Yup.
Steve: See a lot of bands?
Mr. Shovel: Saw a lot of bands, saw a lot of people. Didn’t see a lot of bands that we wanted to see ‘cause uh, it’s hard to get in everywhere. Saw the Pretenders on Saturday night.
Steve: Who was in the band, do you know?
Mr. Shovel: Well, uh Chrissie and uh, the original drummer, Martin Chambers. The other two guys obviously weren’t there. The original guys, they’re dead. The guys playing were great, I don’t know who they were.
Steve: Hmm. She’s playing at the House of Pancakes, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Mr. Shovel: That’s right.
Steve: Hopefully we can get her in here Wednesday. I would love to have her on The Box. Got the Sparks coming in tomorrow. Tomorrow’s their release date of their new album. We’re gonna be jamming with the Sparks. So it’s looking like its going to be one of them busy weeks.
Mr. Shovel: Excellent.
Steve: I hope so. We are starting to film shows now, out of my own pocket. I’ve hired some people, gonna film the shows and try and turn The Box…
Mr. Shovel: You know, I’m a member of SAG.
Steve: Yeah?
Mr. Shovel: Yeah.
Steve: So what’s that mean?
Mr. Shovel: Means you’ve got to pay me.
Steve: Yeah?
Mr. Shovel: Yeah.
Steve: You leave. I’ll get someone else to do it then.
Mr. Shovel: Okay.
Steve: It’s easier.
Mr. Shovel: All right.
Steve: You still want to be paid?
Mr. Shovel: Yeah.
Steve: See ya later.
Mr. Shovel: Okay bye.
Steve: Can you, can you…Ollie, can you man the boards? Do you know how to work a board here?
Mr. Shovel: It’s actually video, it’s not film.
Steve: It’s none of your business what it is. I’m talking to you, Ollie. Can you…
Ollie: (in background, indecipherable)
Steve: Okay, we’ll figure it out, in a minute. Let’s wait until Mr. Shovel starts the show, then we’ll kick him out. So, Pretenders…Morrissey played, right?
Mr. Shovel: Yup.
Steve: and uh…
Mr. Shovel: Beastie Boys did a show. There was a lot of great bands, you know, not huge bands playing. That’s the thing there, it’s a lot of bands, you know, kind of…new bands or bands that are just coming around and getting known. Spinto Band was great.
Steve: Splinter Band?
Mr. Shovel: Spinto. Lotta just…so many bands playing at once, you couldn’t get to everything.
Steve: Yeah. It’s like at Disneyland. You can’t get on every ride.
Mr. Shovel: Right. You just spend most of the day standing in line.
Steve: Yeah. You had to stand in line?
Mr. Shovel. No. We spent most of out time texting people going, “Where you at?” “Where you at?” “Where you at?”. “Gotta get us in” “Gotta get us in” “Can’t get in, gotta get us in!”
(Steve begins strumming his guitar)
Steve: There must be a song in there somewhere. (plays some more) Isn’t there?
Mr. Shovel: It’s called, “I’m On The List, But There’s No List”...

Which one?
Is it going to be a Paul Cook or a Malcolm Mclaren rebroadcast which goes back to back with the John Lydon? Well I've got a sub woofer and 2 satellites bolted onto the computer so I will be locked in live and large whatever happens.

Be sweet. Who is on 2 moro?
Welcome back to chriswasanon, CwA!
Any of you unsuspecting surfers who've come in from kick down the doors, this is the bit of the Internet where the US and the UK shake hands through the marvels of tech across the water and serve to you the discerning, our distilled and carefully transcribed slices, slabs of the best bits of Jonesy's Jukebox from a great radio station in Los Angeles, Indie103.1.
Tina transcribes and I do the intros. I transcribe too sometimes. Tina never does intros....yet.
I can't hear the current show - no speakers to hear with on this computer that pretends to be a pentium 1, remember those? Cyrix!!! I will organise something because there are other machines...with speakers!
The blog news. Paul Cook interview tomorrow on Jonesy's jukebox? A rebroadcast from last year BUT coupled with the excellent recent John Lydon interview we think. Maybe or Malcolm Mclaren? but am not clear on that, edited down?
UPDATE!!! STOP PRESS BLAH BLAH BLAH...
OK the latest the VERY latest is that I don't know if it will be Paul or if it will be Malcolm "butting heads" as Steve said, with John. If the CwA gets the info - it will go up. It all depends on Jonesy plans - me and you just don't know. Do YOU? Leave a comment if you want.

A sad doggy tale and a buy it now price of???
The ever dilligent and so industrious TrAnScRiber has just winged another piece of complete Shovelism and Steveology my way and so it's posting time. Well, it's 16.52 in the UK and the weather has been - well look sod the weather - seemed that what with the death of a dog - a sorrowful story but isn't that life? I feel a little blue note creeping into this intro.
I'll tell you what else is sad, I'm stuck back in front of this postage stamp sized monitor and we have had 1 comment so far to show for our continuing deluge of quality posting. Oh well once, a post hound...
Faster than a speeding bullet or Ernie's milk float and he did drive the fastest in the West but how fast? Does it make a mockery of the laws of Transcriptural theory? Well now, in "transcribing terms" that adds up to lets see, mumble 5+5=10 356 X 5890, scribble ah - then subtract ummm...the number first thought of, yes stand on your head okaaaayyyyy but why and press star on your keypad 99 times whilst humming "24 hours from Tulsa" Result in transcriptorium time, quick! Well glad that's sorted! Lets get to the good stuff...
I am reliably informed etc. Indie103.1 etc. LA. OC. etc and over Internet etc. on 14th March 2006.
Steve: You're listening to Jonesy's Jukebox on Indie 1031. On an absolutely gorgeous ah, Tuesday, it's gonna be lovely in about an hour. Probably, my prediction, it'll be about seventy degrees, it's almost getting there now. It's lovely. I just saw something horrible, Shovel. I just saw, as I was coming from, coming thru like, what's that area, Hancock Park? I was driving through there, taking side streets to avoid...to try and get here and off one of these side streets, like where the flash houses are, I saw a dog lying on the floor with another dog, it looked like it was dead, or knocked out or something. And then, either it was his buddy or it was just like, another dog's instinct to see what was happening in the middle of the road, and so the dog was just like, licking him and...standing over him, like looking. That's when I spoke to you, you called me and I told you that. It was...weird though. I didn't know....I didn't have time to stop. It was like, a quarter to twelve and I had to be here - to tell you the story on time. But uh, it's sad when you see things like that. I couldn't figure out if it was the dog's pal that was standing there, or it was just some other dog, saw the other dog lying there, and its...came over and have a look, you know?
Mr. Shovel: Either way, it's really sad.
Steve: Yeah, and I'm sure someone, hopefully will sort what's going on. Maybe the dog weren't dead, but he was lying in the middle of the road...obviously someone's whacked him in a car, you know? There was no blood or nothing, but...
Mr. Shovel: The dog's just looking because they can't dial 911.
Steve: No...I know. That's what's sad about it, it was just looking like, helpless. Like, "What's going on?" They must know, though, that something's wrong, you know what I mean?
Mr. Shovel: Yeah, but there's not much they can do. That's really, really sad, Steve.
Steve: Yeah. Well, I thought I'd share it with ya, good times and the bad times. Maybe I'll sing a...I don't want to sing a song about the dog. I might start crying. (Blows a note on his harmonica) I haven't heard much about last night, other than at the end, Winter, he's the geezer, Rolling Stone bloke who took the ah...he went up there for us and he ah, read the note, the statement, the message whatever you want to call it and said that um, our statues, I guess are in Cleveland if we want to get 'em. Something along them lines kind of. I'm not sure, I don't want to get it mixed up. I don't know if it was in a sarcastic way but it sounded like it was a really depressing ordeal, you know? Blondie was fighting. I don't (think) Black Sabbath played. Sounded like it was being in a morgue or something...I'm glad we didn't go. We came out smelling like roses, I think, compared to everyone else. Maybe I'm wrong. I don't know. But I want to get me statue. I wanna see how much money I can get for it on eBay...you can probably get a pretty penny, right? They're hard to come by.
Mr. Shovel: Yeah, but it seems like you should hold onto it. Let it mature in value.
Steve: Yeah? (laughs) If someone offers me a pretty penny for it now, I'll flog it, no problem. 877 900-1031!
Mr. Shovel: Just don't take it out of the wrapper!
Steve: Put your bids in right now for Steve Jones' Hall Of Fame statue. I guess I have to go get it first. Maybe I'll...maybe I'll go to Cleveland and say, "Oh, I'll take the other guys' with me too and I'll give it out to them", and I'll sell 'em as a package! (Mr. Shovel laughs) What'd ya think? Hmmm?
Mr. Shovel: Now did uh, did Sid's family get one too?
Steve: Ahh...I don't know. I wasn't there. But I would imagine...I don't know, I would imagine so...Sid, Glen...I would imagine, you know? I don't think...they're like ah, you know, gold or anything. I think they're like just, I don't know what they're made of.
(begins to play his guitar) Is there a song there though, you think?
Mr. Shovel: PLastic Pistol. Statue.
Steve: "Plastic Pistol". Have you got this guitar mike on?
Mr. Shovel: Yeah.
Steve: That don't sit right. Come up with another, along the same lines.
Mr. Shovel: I'm Going Back To Cleveland?
Steve: Oh, you need a song as well. Oh, you've got one?
Mr. Shovel: Yeah, I've got one.
Steve: (burps) Pardon. I had a oatmeal fritatta this morning so prepare. There could be some bombs going off in here.
(begins to sing)
How much is it worth
(He stops)
Steve: No. No I don't like that chord.
(changes chord and continues singing)
for my statue
Are you willing to give me
Twenty-five grand for that statue?
(Mr. Shovel inserts audio of man shouting, "Hello Cleveland! Hello Cleveland!")
How much is it worth
Is it worth the same amount for a table
Is it worth it
Is it worth it
Is it worth it
I don't know
(plays harmonica)
Two bob
oh my starting bid's at two bob
Can I get two bob, oh no
Fifty quid, do I see any more
for fifty quid
oh yes
The man in the corner
with the carnation in his pocket
he's bid two bob
Oh yes you can have my statue
but is it worth it?

Complete!
Well that's that done. All the Jones Lydon transcription is now complete and will be available at Kick down the doors Tina and I shared the load and the whole should be available on the site soon. There will eventually be an index page to the transcripts too.
Don't forget that Steve's show with John Lydon is being rebroadcast on Friday 17th March on Indie 103.1 - due to popular demand as you can see from the previous post.
I really enjoyed doing that transcription, it was great fun, worth the effort.
Steppin' up - well keep coming back...wait and see

S: I have a great time with Mr. John Lydon on the Box Friday. A lot of people didn't see it. Mr. Shovel: It means it's happening and you're not there.
Steve: Yes...I am quite aware of that, Mr. Shovel.
Mr. Shovel: Yes, we know. I just wanted to acknowledge, even thought you decided not to go, that that's pretty, pretty cool, and congratulations.
Steve: Well, it hasn't happened yet. Maybe at the last minute they'll pull the plug. That would be, that would be a really dumb move on their part, if they didn't put us in there. Just supposing, don't you think?
Mr. Shovel: That would kind of fit the whole career mold, wouldn't it?
Steve: Yeah. So, today on this gorgeous day, the Thirteenth of March, 2006, I'm gonna play songs by the Pistols, cover songs, songs that were inspired and so on and so forth. And ah, I think it's gonna be a fun two hours. (can be heard picking up his guitar) Is there a song in there anywhere, Mister Shovelle Couture? (strums guitar)

Steve and Shovel Mancheefrills pills +++++++++
I'm on some piece of godawful shite monitor at the moment, it looks like a fourteeen incher...oh missus...I have to scroll along way to see the edge of the page. Well getting stuck into the Lydon Jones interview this afternoon UK time...that really was a fine piece of radio, weren't it and maybe if we have room we can put one more little slice on the ole chriswasanon for your edification and enjoyment and general thrills. That's enough blog...oh and speaking of thrills, the mancheefrills, Tina has worked away at her keyboard to bring you another generous serving of Shovel and Steve. Steve and Shovel, so take it away Mr. Steve...and Mr. Shovel.
This one went out on Indie and the OC and across the Internet sometime in January of 2006. I'm a bit vague about exact dates your hono(u)r.
Mancheefrills Plus January 2006
Part One
Steve: Do you think vitamins work, or that's a whole 'nother scam?
Mr. Shovel: Yeah, I think you know, the right ones, good ones, taken the right way...
Steve: You don't think it's placebo, a lot of it?
Mr. Shovel: Well, you see the color of your pee change, right? Something's going on.
Steve: Well, that definitely does that, but I think the multi vitamins, one for all day...
Mr. Shovel: I think it's probably important. Not that I'm Mr. Healthy but you know...
Steve: Do you take vitamins?
Mr. Shovel: Yes I do, because a lot of the times the food that I eat doesn't have
any you know...enough nutritional value.
Steve: Like that Herbalife guy, he made a bundle didn't he? From selling bloody vitamins. I think I should have a vitamin company. What could we call it?
Mr. Shovel: Ummm, "No-Knackered".
Steve: Anti-Knackered pills. Um...not 'herbal'…”Hemp Life”. No, umm..."Pie And Mash Vitamins"...maybe...no that don't have a good ring to it. What about uh...
Mr. Shovel: Phantasm.
Steve: Yeah, "Get your bottle of Phantasm"...that's got a certain ring to it...
Mr. Shovel: Mancheefrills!
Steve: Mancheefrills, just one word...?
Mr. Shovel: Mancheefrill Pills.
Steve: Yeah, "Mancheefrill Pills". Mancheefrill PLUS! There ya go. That is it.
Mr. Shovel: And then you could have, Womancheefrills.
Steve: Yep. wo-MANcheefrills. Plus.
Mr. Shovel: With extra iron.
Steve: With extra uh...with extra things in it, yeah. Oh, that sounds good. Why don't I do that, Shovel?
Mr. Shovel: Yep, right after we do my line of couture wear.
Steve: Yep, yep...talk about couture, ain’t we waiting for the lineup for the, couture, what’s that place called?
Mr. Shovel: Coachella.
Steve: Coachella. Close enough. Does anyone know who the lineup is yet?
Mr. Shovel: Coming soon.
Steve: I hope Roxy Music. That was the word, but I can’t see it really, you know. I just don’t see it. (does a run on his guitar) I just don’t see it. Maybe I should write a song. Should I write a song about vitamins?
Mr. Shovel: Yeah.
Steve: Alright. (starts plucking the “A” string) A….A…
Mr. Shovel: Vitamin A
Steve: Exactly. You’ve got all the vitamins on the strings – that is it, Shovel!
Vitamin D (plucks D string) vitamin D…higher vitamin D…(goes to another string) vitamin G…oh, there ain’t a vitamin G, is there?
Mr. Shovel: Well, we oughta make one then.
Steve: New! The “New” G. This one is approved by the uh, who’s that bloke who wears the dickie bow tie? The guy, when you get something approved by the UDA…
Mr. Shovel: Oh yeah, Coop…Everett Coop, C. Coop Everett?
Steve: Yeah, that geezer. There’s definitely a vitamin B (plucks string)
Mancheefrills Plus Part 2
Steve: Have you been concocting it up over there?
Mr. Shovel: Yeah.
Steve: Is that the finished result?
Mr. Shovel: Yes. As a matter of fact, I have the first batch right here.
Steve: Let me have one right now. This is it? (plucks a few disjointed notes on guitar) That's how I'm feeling. Let me take one of these pills. Do you have some water?
Mr. Shovel: Got a lot of corn starch...cellulose gel, you've gotta get some of that in there, keep it all together. Hyraprophyl cellulose.
Steve: Okay, I just swallowed one of those. Let's see what happens now. (strums a harmonious chord) Much better.
Steve: (starts to play a bit on his guitar) Oh. That's not good, is it...
Mr. Shovel: I'm gonna have to add some more polyethylene glycol.
Steve: That is good. I went to the outer Hebrides to get that from a donkey's mancheefrill (?) . That's a...you've got to get these rare things from animals, like from a monkey's eyelash to put that in there. That makes it good and (?)
Mr. Shovel: For your manhood.
Steve: Yeah. It helps if you get that rare stuff from some jungle somewhere from some pygmy's toenail...and you grind it up...and you will live an extra five years and you'll be stiff as a board, for about another five years. Or you can uh...you can just go to hell. I don't want you to buy my bloody Mancheefrill Plus. It's all for me. That's what makes me laugh. If it works...you know like, you get these TV things, the guy's telling you how to make money...you know "If you just buy my cd's and books, you too can be standing next to a Ferrari in Hawaii." Now, if that was the case, wouldn't that geezer keep it all to himself? Obviously he ain't making money so he's trying to get you to buy his bloody books to make HIS money.
Mr. Shovel: Well, what the book says is, "Here's my secret. You get a TV commercial and you ask people to send you money for your book."
Steve: Yeah. That is a jest.
I have ways to make you bundles
of Cod's Roe
All you've gotta do now
is buy my bleedin' book
I'll give you the secrets
and you'll be (?)
you too can be in Hawaii
standing next to a Ferrari
(that he rented for a day when he took the photos)
Yes you too can be a loser
and buy his books and cds
there is no secret
you've just got to be a lucky sod
and play the lottery
like you or me
and also don't forget the crumpet
in the bathing suits
on the speedboat
going across the ocean
and yes he looks so happy
'cause he's flogging you a load of bollocks
oh oh The Swindle continues
you just can't help it
you gotta do what you can
to meet the man
don't forget to pay Uncle Sam
or you will be knobbled
yes you will be knobbled by the man
Note that a (?) in the transcription indicates that there was something indistinct there, we do gets them ya know.
A joint Tina 'n' chriswasanon production. Tina transcribed, chriswasanon did the preamble.

Hall of ? The statement!
OK. The blog bit first. Snow brings chaos to parts of Scotland, now its all slushy. This monitor has to be returned from whence it came so this is just a brief postage.
I'm wondering whether to shift all the jb blog stuff out of here. If anybody still believes that the very idea of transcription violates copyright or is "myspace" defiance against a certain Pontiff, believe something else.
'Ere we go, 'ere we go 'ere we go. Now Tina what is often known as the Transcriber Goddess by those in the know has delved into the Friday John Lydon with Steve Jones interview and selected some more for you to enjoy. All that is left to said is that this interview was broadcast by Indie 103.1 independent radio in LA. and OC. and over the Internet on 10/3/06.
The TrAnScrIber is at the controls.
J: Steve, good to see ya, one Sex Pistol to another!
S: Excellent, excellent. How you doing?
J: All righty.
S: Did you go on the ol’…it’s on tonight, right?
J: Yeah, I think they’re airing it tonight. Yeah, Jimmy Kimmel last night.
S: Yeah.
J: Under the disguise of it was my fiftieth birthday, but you know that we set it up to go and have a bitch about the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame and quite right at (those) self-appointed sods. You know I don’t mind getting something for nothing, but I ain’t gonna pay for the privilege. You know what it is, Steve, it’s like they’re asking us to pay them to tell us we’re famous. But we’re not. We’re infamous.
S: We’re already famous
J: Yeah, done that, been there.
S: Ain’t we already famous? Do we need them to tell us we’re famous?
J: It would be nice if they paid us for the privilege.
S: Or got medical. Or something.
J: I don’t mind being paid to be told I’m famous, but I ain’t paying them. So there you go. Good on ya.
S: But it’s more to it than just the seating, innit? I mean they had your lyrics in the bleedin…not even your lyrics, right?
J: Yeah. No, the bigger truth is, right, and you know this – I’m just waffling about the money, I couldn’t give a toss. But, I mean I’ve had problems with this Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame for a long time and in particular the museum. You remember years ago when I was running Rotten TV for VH1…?
S: Right.
J: Well, we were going to shoot an episode there at the museum and they wouldn’t give me permission to film and in particular, not to film this so-called alleged "Sex Pistols" exhibit they had which, by all accounts was somewhere under a staircase, down the corner at the end of a basement. But, in it was a set of lyrics that they claimed was the original like, uh things, that you know, like I wrote them all out at one go and autographed them. Phony by anyone’s stretch of the imagination and I told ‘em so. But they told me that their sources were “irrefutable”. So, in other words, my word isn’t good enough, but my ‘words’ are.
S: Right, right…
J: Right. That’s, that’s wrong. Alright, so a museum that’s based on what, you know, selling you a load of old kack and phony baloney you can’t be supporting. If they’re doing stuff like that with our career years back, why we gonna hand ourselves on a platter to them now? They were never interested in the truth in the first place and now all’s their gonna get IS the truth.
S: Well, they can, they can put your new lyrics up now, in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame.
J: Oh, yesss. What ones would those be?
S: The you know, The Statement.
J: Oh, well, no…that’s ALL of us, particularly the bad spelling of ”congradulations”!
S: Oh yes, I wrote THAT! Yes that was MY idea!
(both laugh)
J: It needed to be said. We thought it out, we worked it out and we knew what would be done, you know?
That was a joint TrAnScRiBer and Chriswasanon production.

Lydon interview bugs
Well I was held up from the main job today of transcribing the Jones Lydon interview by an intense snow storm which took all the power down but I've got another 7 minutes of it done. Some great pics have been posted by Indie of John in the studio with Steve. Go here for a looksie http://www.indie1031.com/shows/jonesy.php. So without further from me lets have some more. This excerpt from the interview of Steve Jones with John Lydon was broadcast in LA on Indie 103.1 and over the Internet on Friday March 10th 2006.
chriswasanon is at the controls.
Steve : (Laughing) Oh God, oh (different accent) it’s disgoostin.’ Is that bug on the Discovery Channel, is that comin’ out here or was that out?
John: No and yeah , oh you talking about the “Megabugs” thing I did yeah? Ten part series for Discovery. They won’t release it here.
Steve: Why?
John: No idea. No idea.
Steve: Is it entertaining? It must be.
John: It’s bang on the money, right. It’s you know, from a man who’s bragged about loving industrial carparks to be stuck in a bleedin’ jungle, it’s alright.
Steve: Yeah yeah.
John: It’s just me being real but you know I like, I study things, I read, I like to know how things work Steve. I don’t like killing anything and so you know, an ant crawling across the table fascinates me and so it just played in lovely to a ten part series. It’s ended up now in England on the universities, on the curriculums. And if you are talking about nominations oddly enough it was nominated and put up against Attenborough… (1).
Steve: Oh yeah.
John: Lucky I came second, cos it would be another award I wouldn’t be able to go and collect.
Steve: (Laughs.)
John: Cos I feel kinda, I don’t like awards see I feel ropey about them but I do like doing work that’s…
Steve: Acknowledged.
John: …off the beaten track, yeah acknowledged but left alone and not absorbed into the shitstem. It was mainly scorpions, the lot, things that I would normally like have been like spooked about but the thing is you see these things in the wild and they look different, they behave different. You know.
Steve: When I was young I was never interested in…
John: It’s like being stoned without the joint.
Steve: Right.
John: Right, that’s how nature is with me.
Steve: When I was young - I don’t know about you - I was never interested in looking at the sky or anything but when you get older, you get.
John: Yeah, ‘ow could ya Steve, you know another grey day in London, nothing to notice.
Steve: But I didn’t care,I didn’t notice things when yer young like that, like yer life.
John: No.
Steve: You don’t notice it but the older I get the…
John: I tell ya, I did notice spots, you know, pimples...
Steve: Zits?
John: Yeah oh zits, (US. accent)
Steve: Yellerheads (US. accent).
John: Things like that you know things that made you worry and think people wouldn’t like ya for it.
Steve: Yeah. Do you remember my mate Jim Macken? he had the worst skin under the planet. I didn’t realise at the time, must have been torture
John: Yeah murder yeah, yeah must have been torture. Things we worry about you know, the little vanities but teenage years are the worst for it.
Steve: You don’t know what’s going on.
John: Yeah and we didn’t even ‘ave time to like properly cultivate a few yeller heads cos yer in the middle of that madness. It’s alright you know when yer being discussed in Parliament under the Traitors Act, a pimple on the end of yer nose takes second place.
Steve: (Laughter).
John: Does, honest.
Steve: (Laughter)
John: Going to do a documentary about it…starring Cliff Richard’s colostomy bag. (2)
Steve: (Laughter)
John: I bet that’s got enough pimples.
(1.) David Attenborough, famous British television naturalist.
(2.) Refers to a rumour that Cliff Richard has a colostomy bag fitted.

Transcriptions of Lydon and Jones...
Welcome back to chriswasanon
Archive stuff this. Me and you are giddy and excited at CwA blog to have such wonderful material and transcribing John Rotten Lydon with Steve Jones is in fact a kind of 'eaven.
However before the release of another slice of this, it must be said that the LOT, I mean lock stock and caboodle, the whole shebang, the works, every effin bit of it is going over to Phil at www.cookandjones.co.uk where Sex Pistolians of all types may read it freely, meantime enjoy the extracts posted here.

No more Sex Pistols songs...ever, never ever. I'm a celebrity, get me outta here.
What did that advert on Carri on Sex Pistols say?
"You never know what is going to happen with the Sex Pistols but they do make music as well."
I liked that one. Well I've got into the TrAnsCriBer's seat for a tick and ran a brief revealing reprise out. What is known I believe as a "teaser". Ooooh saucy! Chase me, chase me...
This interview with John Lydon by Steve Jones went out across LA and OC and over the Internet via Indie 103.1 LA. and OC. independent radio, on 10/03/06
Chriswasanon is at the controls...
John: I suppose for both of us being a Sex Pistol right from the beginning is...we have to constantly fight off accusations and allegations, like we've done summin wrong when frankly its the rest of the world not us. We got it right, you know, the rest of you are still in two left shoes.
Steve: I know something I wanted to ask yer, why have you never wanted to write any more Pistols songs?
John: I felt - and I still do - that it would be wrong for my heart and soul. I've loved that period and when it broke up and really hurt my heart, bigtime, right, really hurt me and I...I don't wanna go back. Right I really loved it but it was time to go elsewhere and once I started in PIL, rocket to another level, different level. Not competition, just a different part of my world. I miss the Pistols, I miss the lot o' ya.
Steve: Well we had fun the last time we toured, I had a good time that little tour we did across America?
John: Yeah. But not always, cos thats life innit? and anyone who thinks its all a (different accent) "jolly good wheeze," its not..being in a band....
Steve: Its hard work
John: When you mean what you do, its hard work and you gotta watch yourself almost 24 hours a day, its the same as being on that celebrity thing.
Steve: I enjoyed the last tour though better than that big one we did...

Life is a lottery...
"That was cool...i been waiting 2 years myself...I think I love Mr lydon...does that make me gay?" - Shloemoe :-)
Well John Lydon Rotten was just on and it was perfect - a long time to wait for Rotten to come on the box, eh Shloe? Now where was I...resigning and wasting my money in the post office on a Saturday afternoon buying National Lottery tickets. All in a good cause - incomprehensible opera, or something. Does the US. lottery offer any similiar schemes?
Lotto or er the lottery..."all the fools in Christendom."
I am chriswasanon. It's kind of sore that I fell upon my sword, certain things have a way of working themselves out. If you are going to throw the towel in, pick a good day to do it.
These here transcriptions are here to stay!
Of course you can post here! (A) Anyone can post here. Sweet not sour.
So the TrAnscRiber has got another one for you to savour and slaver over and generally marvel with - well that is my response to each nugget of newly mined Shovel and Steve from her busy digits - transfixing transcription - marvellous dahling!
This one was over LA and OC on Indie103.1 and also the Internet on
3/2/06
It's the lottery song!
Tina is at the controls...
Steve: It's Thursday, it's a nice day out. About sixty-five degrees. It's five after twelve bells, so good afternoon everybody out there in Radioland. Welcome all you ladies and gentlemen and four-legged creatures to the Box. You got a band in today, Shovel?
Mr. Shovel: Yeah. OK Go is coming.
Steve: OK Go, that's right...and they're coming in at some point and they're gonna jam as well, right?
Mr. Shovel: Um hmm.
Steve: That'll be fun.
Mr. Shovel: Did you go hang out with the Tomato at The Standard yesterday?
Steve: I didn't go there. No, I didn't go there. I can't deal with all that young stuff. Young guys and young birds and that madness.
Mr. Shovel: I thought...I thought that was your "thing".
Steve: No, not hanging out. Fancying young birds is one thing. But you know, hanging out with them and you know listening to them is not my thing.
Mr. Shovel: Like conversation?
Steve: Yeah, it's just (mimicking woman's voice) "Let's go here!" "No, let's go over here now!" "Let's go to this club!" That's not me. I just stay at home and you must do as I say or you will be removed. Ummm what was I going to say, there was something...I won ten bucks yesterday. You know the Lottery, it was almost...
Mr. Shovel: 'cause you had two numbers right?
Steve: I don't know what I had. The woman just put the thing in the machine and said I won ten bucks. Even though I bought twenty bucks of tickets, I won ten bucks. But someone won close to three hundred million dollars.
Mr. Shovel: One person?
Steve: I think so. Some person in Ohio, I believe.
Mr. Shovel: Oh, See I haven't checked my ticket yet.
Steve: Maybe it was Chrissy Hynde who won it. Or Iggy Pop...ain't they from there?
Mr. Shovel: Not Iggy. Iggy's from Detroit. Chrissy's from Akron.
(Steve sings)
What would you do if you won the lottery
Would you still be friends with me
Well, would you?
What would you do if you won the Super Lotto
Would you still get blotto
I don't know 'cause I'll never win it
the chances are very slim
but if I did I would take you all away
to an island
What would you do if you won the lottery
would you share it with me
I don't think so
What would you do if you won the lottery
would you have anything to do with me
You know I don't think so
But the chances of that happenin'
are almost none
The chances of that happenin'
are almost
none
Steve: Do you have your machine? (he continues playing the guitar as Mr. Shovel accompanies him on the melodica)
If you won the Lottery
would you still be "me"
or would you change
If you won the Lottery
it would be hard to be "me"
if you won all that dough
You'd have more friends than you can deal with
All fairweathers would want to know ya
It might be a curse more than a blessing
if you won that much dough
Talking three hundred million dollars
But don't forget half of that
will go to the Tax Man
The bleedin' Tax Man
will take a good chunk for himself
I wouldn't mind 'cause it's better
than where you are in your apartment
You must give me the winning ticket
Oh lordy, get me out of this mess
I know you'll never win if you don't play it
like the old saying
4 9 25 17 could be a lucky number
Now if someone wins with them numbers I just said
I'm gonna sue ya
yeahhhh...
Rambling nonsensical intro - chriswasanon
Sensible transcription - Floratina
Thanks to Shloe too.

Who sent ya? Oh them bs

Don't mention transcriptions...shhhhhh.....there are no transcriptions there... Carri on regardless of the dismal opinions of them and us transcriber. Regardless of "We" Stick around Shloe..wheeeew just when I thought it was boring again...fresh controversy. Come back Chispa.
Shhhh..how many (looks around) how many are you looking for...? Who? What? Come closer...closer! Right Steve Jones...!!! Sex Pistol? Guitarist. "Man who can" Yeah I know about 'im. He's with that er Mark Shovel...geezer EnGiNeEr fingy. They are as funny as f***k mate I'll tell ya that for nothin'. Its on Indie 103.1...innit, a Los Angeles Independent radio station. Well I dunno. This stuff is 'ot...Charlie, 'Ere come round the back now. Anyone see you come in? No? Good...Starters likes it's gonna cost ya, and no no cash...they'll be no $$$$ for you. You will take flak for it mate...from places you wouldn't expect it from. Especially after what went on...know what I'm saying, simple as. Ya can handle it? Yeah? You sure NOBODY never saw ya...? Well here ya go then, here's the stuff. Now nash likes for f**ks sake! If the blogplod come, I don't know you.
"WE SAY NO TO TRANSCRIPTIONS" You decided then? How was that managed? One potato, two potato or dib dob dab perhaps? Shloemoe is the enemy! "Tough titters" as his Rottenness would say.
This was to show what i felt was utter and total contempt at the sorry excuse for democracy that blogstars is, a closed cabal in fact.
Man I was pissed off when I wrote this next bit but it was a comment on the idea of being a blogstar and the twisted sense of loyalty that it seems to have engendered. What a load of cobblers, if you think about it, all we were was a bunch of strangers talking about the records that Steve Jones played and that was all the blog was, nothing more...now the blog is a private secret club.
"No comments from blogstars - you are traitors to the cause, practically and what a cause! Who knows what might happen if you do feel the urge to comment however...you might begin to question things. You had better check your bulletin board carefully."
I wanted to make people think about what it was that they were allowing mebbe two people to protest against out of perhaps 16 at the time and I really did wonder why not one person on the blogstars could defend me or Tina because after all, it wasn't about transcribing - it was about personalities. So I walked right out of there and I'm not looking back. Nevah closed the blogstar myspace group to public viewing after this...so much for public access!
And if you have got this far, again well now you know.
Steppin' up "The lottery song." and why I resigned...mebbe...

"One Night Laydown" or What's it all about..... Alfieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee?
Welcome back to chriswasanon!
Did you ever have one of those- got a bit squiffy, all unneccessary even? Perhaps woke up in the morning with a strange personage? Did it with someone you knew and ah things were never the same again...er...well I did. Well then, you 'ave had a one night schtand! Some of you still do???...no comment. Well, what about a one night laydown?
Here at Chriswasanon, the transcriber and I have been having another kind of fun. By the way - in reading this lil blog you are in no way defying the man who can, the Sire of Sturmbannfuhrer. Stuartmm has more synonyms over at his bit, mine was invented. You may like to check the links. No, you CAN enjoy cask strength Steve Jones and Mr. Shovel here and NOT have to eat strong peppermints or hit the lattes afterwards. Think that chriswasanon and the TrAnsCrIbEr defy? Think again. Me and your papers are in order! Just one more day and John Rotten Lydon will be in the studio, you'll be listening to Indie 103.1? Of course you will! That's enough of chriswasanon. Enjoy.
I am reliably informed that this one went out over the rooftops of Los Angeles and OC and across the Wonderweb net on 3/6/2006.
The TrAnScrIBer is at the controls....
Steve: Where'd that expression come from, "one night stand". What does that mean, "one night stand"? I mean, I know what it refers to but how did someone come up with that? Wouldn't they say "one night lay down"?
Mr. Shovel: Maybe there's like a concession booth thing.
Steve: One night stand.
Mr. Shovel: Like you know, back in the old days they used to have a booth...a stand.
Steve: Yeah...but also it sounds like a it's a show down, too dunnit? A one night stand, like a standoff.
Mr. Shovel: I think that it's a show business term.
Steve: I like one night "lay down" better than "stand", you know what I mean?
Mr. Shovel: Well yeah, that's more appropriate. I think it goes back to like uh, you know, theatre.
Steve: (picking at his guitar) One night stand. Maybe there's a song in there,..
I don't know if I can think of any lyrics right now, I'm so anxiety-ridden. Have you got your trumpet to inspire me?
Mr. Shovel: No.
Steve: I'm not feeling it this morning. (continues strumming) Nope, nothing's, nothing's coming out. (Stums some more) Oh, something may be coming...
(sings) to the tune of "Lay Lady Lay."
Lay lady day
Lay with my one night stand
Lay lady day
Lay with me on my one night stand
I don't even know you
but that's the best part of it
'cause when I get to know you
I don't want none of it
So lay lady lay
Lay with me in my one night stand
Lay lady lay laylaylaylaylayyy
Lay with me on my one night stand
(to Mr. Shovel) I wish you had your thing...what's it called?
Mr. Shovel: Melodica.
(Steve continues singing)
Lay lady lay
lay across my empty bed
But maybe if we don't lay down
and we do it standing up
then it's a one night stand
(on) the kitchen table
lay lady laylaylaylay
oh, yeah
(Mr. Shovel drops in this bit of Michael Caine audio from the movie, "Alfie")
Alfie: Most birds go mad to get hold of the bloke and the first thing they think of is how to go about changing them, don't they? Now, I told Gilda from the start that I ain't the marrying sort and do you know what - she don't mind! She's a stand-by and she knows it. And any bird that knows its place in this world can be quite content.
A Tina TRanSCrIbEr and Chriswasanon Joint production. Thank yew!

Never mind the lottery...here is the news and this is the TrAnSCRIBER....
Rock Circus Piccadilly. it was such a question what image, then this one seemed to fit just nice. "I am extremely handsome" meets himself, pimples and all. This is a waxwork image of Handsome Rotten..date 29. March 1994. Ta Jewell!
Now what are blogs for, current affairs! I take my cue from Malcy on that one. But there is an agenda. Alfie. not yet! There's Kimmel - stepping up but not here unless someone patches me in. Is our Steve (thanks! Quean) - is our Steve ready for love? Well then there are them cowboys - nope not Broke bank mountain. Therapy and issues...
Steve did say that his Rottenship would be in the "city of fruitloops" for a guest spot on Friday. Go for topical here. This is not the Kasey Kasem goldmine, I loved that show. Nevermind the lottery - "a tax on all the fools in Christendom." It's the hall of fame!!!
This one went out over the LA. and OC. airwaves and over the Internet on 3/6/2006
Tina is at the controls...
Guest: Rosanna Arquette
Steve: Have you heard that we're not gonna go to the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame?
Rosanna: No. That's absurd.
Steve: No, We're going 'in'.
Rosanna: Oh, okay. Oh, you're not gonna go 'cause it's so...okay not going to show up for...to do it.
Steve: We're being punk rockers, yeah.
Rosanna: Oh, I love that, okay.
Steve: Are you for that?
Rosanna: I think it's, it's the perfect thing to do, for you guys.
Steve: Yeah.
Rosanna: Is it because you won't speak to each other? Do you not speak...
Steve: No, it's...
Rosanna: Are you and Johnny not speaking anymore?
Steve: No, we're speaking. I think he's coming on here, Friday.
Rosanna: Oh, is he?
Steve: Yeah.
Rosanna: That's cool.
Steve: No, I think it's more...
Rosanna: You guys are grown-ups now, you can get past all that.
Steve: Well, I wouldn't go that far. I think it's more because we don't believe what it stands for. You know, various...you know the tickets is one thing. That's just a small part of why it's...if you look deeper into it, it really isn't a...
Rosanna: Is it lame?
Steve: If they had given you medical, or something, I could understand...or like, movies, when you get an Oscar, it ups your price, your ante, you know? But nothing, you don't really get much out of it. It's just validation for...
Rosanna: For the work that you've done. But it's your contribution to music and all the music that you...
Steve: Yeah, but everyone likes it anyway. We don't need...
Rosanna: I think it's cool to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, for the Sex Pistols to be there. I think it's a nice honor. And I think it's cool that you're not showing up. But I think it's cool that you're in there.
Steve: You're basically, you're saying we get the best of both worlds. We maintain integrity, and we still get in there.
Rosanna: Yeah, I like it. Who's...are you going to have somebody pick it up for you, or like, have a speech, or send somebody?
Steve: I don't know. They asked a couple of people. Flea and Anthony from the Chili Peppers were going to accept the thing, but when they found out we weren't going, they declined. So, I don't know.
Rosanna: So this just happened because you talked with Johnny and he said, "I don't wanna go" and you just both decided?
Steve: Basically.
Rosanna: Yeah.
Steve: Yeah.
Rosanna: All right.
Steve: Basically.
Rosanna: You could always just change your mind, though and just do something really...
Steve: Maybe we should all go now.
Rosanna: I wanna go. I think it will be fun to see you guys, especially if you did something...
Steve: I'm only going if Miles Davis is going.
Rosanna: But you have to play...he's dead.
Steve: I know...
Rosanna: So forget it. But I mean really, they want you to play.
Steve: I don't know what they want. I guess they wanted us to play.
Rosanna: Yeah, I'd pay to see that. A lot of people would.
That was a joint Floratina and Chriswas Production...thank yew...
Steppin' up? wait and see..

Next will be
"The Lottery song" and on the matter of changes I will no longer be comment hounding you all - whether you comment or not will no longer be an issue with me, the fact that you do not always leave a comment will not be commented upon. Comments are not the life blood of this blog in fact soon this blog will no longer accept comments or have a chatbox of any kind. It will just be the pure distilled essence of the TrAnScRiBer Floratina. That heady mix of Steve Jonesery and Shovelism and minimum chriswasanon - most of the time. You would like me to leave that comment option in?...well you know what to do. Should we have adverts in here - I should cocoa! I think not. No, no Duke of Kent here...

No Future the remix.

Your correspondent writes....
Can you believe that? Jeffry Archer has written another book.
The bulk of the money nicked in the Kent raid is still missing.
Sunny day here in Galloway.
Now I need to know something, what should I do with this blog - where is it going? Well I have decided that it is time to change.
I have a confession -I coined the phrase "blogstars." I did not intend it to become the name of a myspace group - it was a pun on blogster or blogger and it took the place of the famous five core term for the inner sanctum group of bloggers that used to blog on the...well you know the sorry tale, or you wouldn't be here, would you?
Good morning blogstars!
That was how it started and now for me, the rot has set in.
Who cares about the poxy blog anyway? It's scone now. I cared a lot, a lot of you did.
Gail did - NYC was the first.
Nevah did - he was a she and Queen of the Garam Masala
JR did - she wore knackered knickers and a V1agra day!
Jewell did - she was the shiny and a lot of Lol :-)
AC did - he came on like a lion but became a little lamb
Irish Scots did - she was no Rotterateer
Car did - Oh Carol trip like I said to
Floratina did - she poured her love into her transcriptions
I am extremely handsome did but he didn't have shit for brains!
Mr Jones did - but he wasn't the Shepherd's Bush goal machine!
Shloemoe did - he was an annoyance and yet...
Chispa did - he claimed to be from Alicante
Rotter did - he swore across the Internet
Mrs Rotter Maddie did - a groovy kind of love.
Alison did - she danced with me over the Web.
Aunty Chrissy did - thanks for postin'
Pie did - he was love God of the Blog
Steve did - he was the Jackanapes behind the scene
Shovel did - he kept the deejay at the decks
Tricky did - he had a Lotus in the Sussex hedgerows
Zero did - FCKU Banzai kiss.
Thepsychicvampyre did - close and play his way.
Minx did - Minnie and her Beano
Ramona did - she was my Sharona
Glass did - he reformed the London SS.
Tstetse fly did - he was a dangerous buzz
Iggy did - he didn't approve though
Pete Townshend did - didn't he?
StuartMM did - and he still does!
Gidget did - Happy Birthday Gidget!!!
Jack did - well maybe...
Jade did - thanks for postin'
Indie 103.1 did - they had us covered!
ZZZZZZZZ did - but with a sharp knife
Glenn O did though he is more often found in the shack
Scottish Toodler did - big titz across, eh ST?
Craig and Vortex did - what an anoraky!
Michebel did - I don't doubt it.
If I missed you, do you know how much we miss the blog
See it wasnae aboot wha ye liked it was just about bloggin'
You DO understand, don't you???
Thanks for all the comments.
It was lots of fun but it is time for me at least to say "that's over" move on, moving on involves well er moving on. In future this blog will not be a blog about a blog or a blog about the bloggers. There were a lot of posts here,a lot of words, a rash attempt to summarise as an outsider not from Californi.i.ay the theatre totale that was the Steve Jones blog - we will remember ALL who blogged on the blog, the regulars, the irregulars and the downright anonymous!
Chriswasanon knows who killed Bambi - do you?
This blog will continue to host Tina the Transcriber.
"Fanx for readin'!"
FANX to you all!
Chriswasanon.

The free shop is open and Tina IS in effect!
Now I like this space, this is as much myspace as myspace account. Good news or bad I’m staying open! I still intend to post the full story of Morocco here.
Weather news.
Can you believe that? Snow, in the Machairs of Galloway and now we have blue skies again.
Raining in Cally still?
History news.
I set this place up initially to post longer pieces about experiences in Spain. The first post here was on November 14th 2005. It then took the slack when the Jones blog was closed pro-tem before the mass linkup to myspace occurred. Nevah has a birthday card here somewhere too. I used this blog to make observations on the happenings on the Jones blog and other off topic views reflecting my own interests and obsessions. I added all the links I could think of. All the best pistols links, links to other sites of Jones note and a few of my favourites on punk and Seditionaries clothing. It’s your blog too you know! Then I put on a stat counter, to see where you were all coming from and finally a chatbox.
The Old News is that the Steve Jones blog is gone due to blogabuse. I don't have the heart to remove the links just yet. No working model replaced the Jones blog, for access to all. Did access for all lead to the blog closing?
Where is Tricky Dicky now?
Nevermindthebollocks with foresight set up a myspace blogstars group before the blogs closed. The group works excellently. All us waifs and strays of the Blogship Indiana Jonesy with myspace accounts have gathered there to post but it is a CLOSED group. You may apply for posting access if you wish. It is there that a kind of reduced blogging on the shows takes place.
The blogstars do not want a repeat performance of for example “stolen identities,”or abuse along the lines of ya **** and ya fcukre etc. . This is why it is a closed group.
Shloemoe – did attempt to set up something similar to the Steve Jones Blog but the Captain’s log it aint and the blogstars would not use it. Apart from the rebels. Though er… it does beg the question if it was used, how long before Zero, Chispa and all the other strangeness would turn up again?
Shloemoe turned up on myspace but deleted himself. I gave him the myspace award cos he was a regular blogger.
The last days of the Steve Jones blog saw responses from "Chispa" and "Zero" taking the form of FCUKOFF to practically every thing that any blogger that he/it/she/they did not like, typed. The overwhelming suspicion was that Shloemoe was behind these identities. None of it provable. Did it make the blog a bearpit of suspicion? The blog survived, “Pelicanism,” peoples identities “borrowed” so that fake posts could be made in their names. Thanks PIE 2 coin a phrase. It could not survive the strangeness of those last days and Indie 103.1 were not able to find the time to moderate it. Hence it died…NOW the Rotter admits that he pushed the envelope too far. I miss that stupid blog. I wish he had applied the brakes then. I also wish on the matter of blog profanity that I had not posted the loaded question:
"why are you a rotten country boy?
So that’s where it is at the moment.
We also have this place which isn’t regrettably Steve Jones blog either. You may comment here until you are have carpal tunnel syndrome but comment on my posts please. This blog has something that myspace will never have, no adverts! It is also open to all, as for the reasons expained blogstars has to be locked down. This place isn't that and if you really feel the need to scrawl the rude word of your choice on here - you can.
Chriswasnon@nospam.never.co.not~areal>.e-mail.co.uk
Also use the chatbox – if you can see it that is – sigh.
Special Welcome to Quean, bigups to Steve, Nevah, Gail, JR, IrishScots, Pie, Minx, Ramona, Keef, Alison, Rotteroffski, Mark Sovel, Tina my colleague, the Scottish Toodler, Jewell and er..Shloe er...Shloe er how come er it took you er 'til the blog er closed, to er post here, eh?
One feature of the Steve Jones blogs which I am anxious to see continued and we think that this is the best home for that, is the transcriptions. They will be Tina's transcriptions and if you don't like Tina - in my 'umble opinion you've got a problem haven't you? Cos these are A1. A+A+A+A+A+A+A blogtastic multi-media. They will continue whilst Tina continues until we get a cease and desist and that barely legal Joe Scarlatti issues a subpoena or something in the name of his Pontiff.
We have had some positive vibration feedback so far and some "telling" silence but until we get a definite response, we will in bloody minded fashion, continue.
Long boring reason for why I like transcriptions follows. These things have a special meaning for me as for perhaps on and off for ten years, I was a tape transcriber for Embra Uni. As an undergraduate and later within the School of Scottish Studies archive itself. The subjects covered - none of which will feature here - let me tell you by the way - were such as “Brick making,” at Somerleyton. ”Coal mining” highlights included wake customs in Newcraighall “Herring fisheries.” Superstition, fisher lassies in Great Yarmouth, Lerwick and all down the Eastern Seaboard of the UK, scary tales of storms and unco-operative landladies. “Civil engineering projects.” In Scotland and exceptionally dull. “Lifeboats.” The Longhope lifeboat disaster of 1969, Stornoway, Caister and Scrabster and the cracking, “role of music in a NW. Highland school. “ Basically I took a tape recorder and collected and then transcribed for inclusion in the archive, hours and hours of conversation and experience of work, play, song and life.
Transcribing is hard work and demands judgement, concentration and patience. I loved the field-work and met many interesting older people in the course of it most of which are now sadly dead. Their words and experiences and outlook were preserved and in some way, remain.
Continue to look upon this as a outpost supplement to Complete Pontiffism. In the words of the man who can,
"Yeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah”
Continue to comment. Why do writers write, cos they want your feedback and in terms of weblogs, that means one thing what does it mean, yes it means comments and if you miss the shows as I so often do, due to being CURSED, then here will be your chance to see what all the fuss was about. Or not - these things may not last - what does? - get 'em while ya can!
Steppin' up the sausage song.

Top 8 only...Tina is the TrAnScRiBer Complete Pontiffism
Can you believe that? - Glass has made Steve an Untersturmfuhrer in the SS. Instead of swastikas we have the number 8 and speaking of number 8's were you one of the friends that Steve deleted from myspace? No not you Rotter - I saw your schurmz cap thing with the totenkopf.
This transcript is for you who heeded the call of Steve so please once again put your mouse, your keyboard, your trackball and yore hands together for the scintillating, the scandolously superb transcendental transcriber
Enjoy!!88888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888
My Space Wednesday, February 22
Steve: I was on the ol' MySpace last night. I'm getting bored with it...I'm getting bored with the MySpace. I'm starting to delete people. My new thing is now, is I had twenty-seven hundred-something friends and what I'm doing now is I'm deleting the ones that I ain't in their Top 8. That's what I'm doing now. And out of about, which I did yesterday - it's kind of a pain to do, 'cause you have to look in their thing to see if you're in their Top 8...and I went through about seventy and there was about twelve that I was in their top eight. So that's what I'm going to do until like they're completely gone and I just have people that have me in their Top 8. Otherwise, it's like, what's the point? Who cares if you have a million friends? A million friends for what? I just want people...people who have come to be my friend, right? I didn't go looking for them.
Mr. Shovel: You've become a MySpace Snob.
Steve: I'm a MySpace Loyalist. Yes. *MY*space (Mr. Shovel starts laughing). Do you understand? So if I'm not in your Top 8, you will be eliminated. You do understand, don't you? You will be no longer part of my quadron. It's written in the quatrains!...by Nostradmus...that you will be eliminated from Jonesy's Space. He said so, fifteen hundred years ago. Are you getting with it?
(sings)
You will be eliminated if (I'm) not
in the Top 8
I'm not interested
to have you for a friend
if I'm in the back
of your friends
There's only so many friends you have
that are your Friends
MySpace is my space
and it's not your space
Find your own bleedin' space
I'm anti-space
I'm in the black hole of space
I don't need you just for a laugh
I want serialist-relationship spaces
I'm not your WhimSpace
I'm not any space
I'd rather be up in space
on MySpace
(Mr. Shovel drops in a bit of audio from some sci-fi movie here: Voice ..1: "Contact?"
Voice ..2: "We're ready, General"
Voice ..1: "That you Steve? You've been out in space two days now. Got anything to report?")
(Steve resumes singing)
My space, oh, it's the milky way of MySpace
One million light-years to find
You can take your stripper's little websites
'cause I'm not interested in it
'cause there's no, nothing
that I'm gonna get anyway
just to fulfill your little websites
you can go and shove it
No one wants ya anyway
It's not about the numbers
It's about the quality of your friends
your compatability with dimensions
coming out'cha
Oh MySpace
It's my space
(Voice ..1: "There's a whole universe out there Steve. The totally unknown, beyond anyone's comprehension. We try to figure it out, kids, but...we never can.")

MySpace Part 2 Thursday, February 23
Steve: So, I'm having so much fun deleting people on MySpace. It's so much fun.
Mr. Shovel: You've got yourself quite a quandary.
Steve: Well, not really. I mean, there's even friends, like real friends that I know that don't have me in their Top 8, and I'm getting rid of them. I don't want thousands of friends. I just want dedicated friends.
Mr. Shovel: You realize that real, true friendships are ended on this 'politics of the Top 8'.
Steve: Yes. That's fine with me. If someone wants me, the Hall of Famer, Jonesy's Jukebox, Sex Pistolero, Man Who Can to just shove in the back of many thousands, you've got another thing coming. I've got to be in the Top 8.
plays to the tune of "Another Thing Coming"
(sings)
I'm gonna give it up
I'm not gonna be at the back with everyone else
I'm the Man Who Can for two hours a day
If I'm not in the Top 8 you can go bye bye hey hey
Steve: I think there's going to be a prize. I think I'm going to give something out for all the ones who I'm in their Top 8. I'm going to give them a nice little gift. When I get rid of all the other fairweathers on MySpace.
Mr. Shovel: And what would that gift be?
Steve: That’s a surprise…
Mr. Shovel: Sticker?
Steve: Maybe something. I don’t see anyone else on MySpace giving things away, do you? CD’s of their two-bob bands, that might be it. Do you think that’s bad, what I’m doing, Shovel, on MySpace?
Mr. Shovel: No. You’re rewriting the rules of MySpace etiquette…
Steve: Yeah, MYspace. MY. MY, not all the other fifty million spaces, MY bleedin’ space. Now, if I ain’t in your Top 8, you will be removed.
Joint Floratina and Chriswas production.
PS. Next one up stepping will be the sausage song...and I will tell you why transcripts are such a fabby thing.
This transcript is for you who heeded the call of Steve so please once again put your mouse, your keyboard, your trackball and yore hands together for the scintillating, the scandolously superb transcendental transcriber

PS. Next one up stepping will be the sausage song...and I will tell you why transcripts are such a fabby thing.

The TrAnScribEr...
Welcome back to chriswasanon.
Chriswasanon will host Floratina's transcriptions of the show.
Floratina was the transcriber of the Jones blog who gave us all a 2nd chance to resavour the wit and wisdom and wackiness of, Steve, Mr. Sovel and the guests. So I am gawsh damn over the moon to have the opportunity to publish the latest unseen transcriptions here.
I do not know when this show was broadcast if I get any info I will add it it in. It deals with the bitter blow of the loss of the blog.
Without further chriswasanonness I give yew the tremedously talented totally toptabulous, terrific TrAnScRiBer.
Steve: Do we…we don’t have a blog anymore, do we?
Mr. Shovel: No.
Steve: Is that the end of it?
Mr. Shovel: I don’t know.
Steve: I got s…I got a lot…a few emails on the blog saying, “What’s going on?” and like, “We’re having withdrawals”, I think. What is going on with it? Just too many people cursing?
Mr. Shovel: Yeah, I don’t know. I had nothing to do with that.
Steve: You had nothing to do with it?
Mr. Shovel: Nope.
Steve: Why ain’t it there anymore then? Know that reason?
Mr. Shovel: Nope.
Steve: Can’t speak. Shovel’s lips are sealed. I can’t pry it out of him.
No More Bloggy
No more Bloggy
No more Captain’s Blog
It’s gone awry
Too much obscenity
Out of control on the Blog Star

Start your own blog

Yeahhhh (thanks for listnin)
Thank you Floratina. Everyone please enjoy! Her next transcript in the next groovy ish will be the one about the top 8 deletion frenzy.
BTW I kept Steve at the top 8, never moved him - he is the reason for my existing, without Steve I would be pontiffless - which is No FuN.
Enjoy yourselves, enjoy the box!

The management is sick of managing a successful rock 'n' roll band, the band is sick of being a succesful rock 'n' roll band

destroying record companies and burning venues is more creative than making it.
The famous press release after the split in SF in 1978. Which was even more famously withdrawn soon after...
Rock n roll hall of fame
So the Sex Pistols aren't coming - stick your award up your arse...apparently. Its the Rock 'n' roll hall of flame....and there goes another one shot down in flames.
"Ich muss out, steiger out!"
Congrats for making it John, Steve, Paul, Glen but double cream congrats for telling them that there is no change and no change is sexy - right Mr. Wobble?
It is the finest tradition of dissidence isn't it, or couldn't they be bothered to rehearse "Bodies" one more time? Its KLF. style, its CRASS, its alternative. Its a big fcuk off to the music biz probly...well what is it. Is is it similiar to "Kiss this" when everyone thought that a re-union was on the cards and the river boat was pulled out of retirement, for all the media to see...
the Scottish Sex Pistols?
Other news, Shloemoe created a clone blog...nobody wanted to play there. Steve Jones started to delete everyone in his friends who wasn't a top eight - can you believe that? I continue to have computer PrObLeMs. America wants to take over the world, apparently. Perhaps it doesn't and who wants the world anyway - not me. Tony Blair in fine euphemism mode calls Guano bay an "anomaly". Robbers get away with a dirty hot (clean and cool it's not) 40 million in quid due to laxness amongst crew and it seems to me that the only place that you will find the true voice of the people nowadays is in the letters column of a broadsheet newspaper. Give me Floratina - or give me death! She is the TraNscriber and my name is not Malcolm Mclaren...
Weather news - something about Greenland freezing Scotland and feeding snow showers down the East Coast of England. Look to the skies!!!
Where did my traffic go...
More later.
Thanks to Jade for the image...

Time zone news...time is 12.25 pm. Minus 8 hours if you are in California. Minus 5 if you are on the Eastern Sea-board. Plus 1 hour if you are in Europe -well, bits of it, Deutschland, Spain, Fr. etc.
Some success on the chatbox front - if you can see it - use it. Read the thing bottom upwards, opposite to the JB blogs. Do not be scared of the Rotter, I can't ban him. His Rot is worse than his ter. Meantime this blog is going into stasis mode until any significant change occurs or I receive any news...
Begin Stasis mode...Do you wish to put this blog in to Stasis? Type Y for Yes or N for No. tappity tap "Y" Are you sure? "Y".

Alert, Alert, Alert. Alarmstart. Scramble...off-line blogs...
O Shloemoe, have you broken all the blogs? Perhaps Zero strafed them in his aeroplane, or Chispa turned them to Paella? Time here just after 8.pm, time in: "Dead Loss Angeles" just after 12.am...
All I knows is that all the Steve Jones Blogs are down. Off-line. Now that is every single one of them. The lot! Post a comment here. Use the chatbox if you can see it..
If you wish you can send me your insights anonymously.
Chriswasanon updated twice today!

Who's gonna?...clear this mess up? No, no, no who's gonna...
Moderate the blog?
Sholoemoe outed by two of his own errant personalities probly but who knoweth? Vortex missed drumming for the Clash, Chispa submits a bizarre poem about artichokes..er good of the mornin' bloggers, kicks the empty cans, looks in the ashtray for a decent roach, has a can of lager for breakfast. I see Rot is sprawled out on the floor with a mouthful of carpet. Floratina appears to have fallen asleep in the bath, NMTB is under a pile of clothes in the corner and how did Michebel get UP there? Where's that anarchist JR?
Well weekend sort of basket cases full of artichokes. FUCK OFF - insert number of choice vibes - flame /on is all I can say really.
Oh and this...I was going to sell this one as yet another chriswas exclusive but seeing as Monsieur le Geoff Pie snuck a lil bit of the story out on the blog, t'aint really. Here is more news from the piephone:
I like Pie's opening reference, it's really meninblack. Any way let us put our headphones on and twiddle a lot of knobs and dials for latest-ish news from the Indie bunker...CwA.
"Well when we were down in the sewer I said I would call them and...!"
Beep bop beep bop bop bop beep beep bop bop - what does a US. ringing tone sound like? burrrrr burrrrrrrrrrr burrrrrrrrrrr mebbe...click...
Jones - "Hello?"
Pie - "Jonesy it's Geoff aka Piespace."
Jones - "Hello Mr Space."
Geoff - "Hows it going mate?"
Jones - "Good thanks."
Geoff - "Whats the story with the blog?"
Jones - "I dont know mate..."(yelling) "Shovel whats up with the blog?"
Shovel- (yelling)..."We took it off for a day."
Jones - "Its under repair."
Geoff - "It got a little wild on there yesterday.
Jones - "Really?"
Geoff - "But its good though."
Jones - "Ok mate."
Geoff - "Talk to you later mate."
Jones - "Ok bye."
Big up Alison, Jewell user extraordinaire of my chatbox and also to some anonymous posters, for commenting. Then Quean, Floratina, Pie, JR. Nevah, Gail on the 20's kick. ChispaZero FUCK OFF etc. Miche, Vortex, IrishScots, Tricky and the crunchy frog. A Special heavy and a chaser that's a pint and a good malt to Geoff...
If I missed you there'll be another one along in a minute - its like buses. All you have to do is comment...

St. Valentine's day 2 years blog...
Damn damn damn. I tell you, I was lying in me pit this morning thinking:
"Am I obsessed with Zhlermer," and "what if the blog is pulled? How will I ever know if he responded" and even "What do I care, I'm staying away from it, I'm in danger of becoming a loony obsessive." Then bugger me if I don't find that another blog has gone, first the "enjoy" and now, "2 years."
How can you trust your heart to cupid - a blind baby with a bow 'n' arrer - daft I call it!
Someone has been a very naughty boy or girl. Could be me, calling Shloe a bad man, threatening him with a shirrecking which isn't reservoir dogs stylee razor fun, just shaming. Could be the genital obsessed rotter, could be that Shloe and Rott are in some way related. Use my cbox! Not that sort of box. Damn damn damn, I was hoping I could get away with it, minimum box postages until Friday but I felt DUTY bound to make post number 36 on chriswasanon. So the inside tip is that one guilty blogger will not be making a reappearance on the JB blog -until then...we must all wait and see with our pulsing hearts and our baited breaths...If I've missed you, I will try a lot harder next time. "Easy Skanking, skanking it slow, easy skanking, skanking it slow..." Bob the Marley.

Poetry, Piephone.com and I must go down to the Sea..to the salty sea and the Sky, I left my vest and socks there, I wonder if they are dry?
Some of this post's absurd title credited to the late great Spike Milligan.
The Rotter has posted more poetry, this stuff is rich in imagery but the theme is not quite dark enough for me. AC. and friends did a fine Dr. Harry Twater. A JB welcome goes out to RockinRach and oh I almost... Ah he has posted a darker one about cutting I think...
Hello Shloe - bye bye Shloe.
Alison - I wish I had made that chair - it's a beauty isn't it? Some guy called Graham in Port Patrick made it, and from local materials too. Oh Carol - Yes I'm English Sasannach. I'm not Scots Albannach. Nevah - Its a nice little spot at myspace NMTB. JR. - Did you see her with the party hat on? Bangkok Steve - there are not usually televisions in bookshops, bs but thanks for the picture comment!
Now I posted a bulletin to myspace alerting the bloggers that the blog had a new post but two JB. bloggers replied directly to my question and I thought the answers merited inclusion on the blog.
Gail to the question, "Are you a jukebox blogger?" wrote:
"You better know it baby!! Can't live without my Box or my Box mates!!!!"
Car to the same question wrote:
"Yes, but I work at a very fast paced job and I stay so freak'n busy so I don't get to do it as much as I would prefer 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!----long live the box!"
Pie tells me that he talked with Jonesy. Mrs. Pie thinks he has a hotline to the man who can...here's what happened:
Pie: "Congratulations on two years. You make radio fun to listen to!"
Jones: "Thanks mate, where's me socks?"
Pie: "You don't want my friggin socks mate they stink and have holes in them!"
Jones:...laughter.
Pie: "Will you play a song for JR s birthday?"
Jones: "Not today mate I already did a birthday and don't want to be some cheesy DJ."
Pie: "No problem. You guys are great. Thanks for all the good music."
Jones: "Try next week."
Pie: "Ok, this is piespace!" :-)
Jones: "Oh yeah, how dare you defy!" :-)
Pie: "Cheers mate."
Jones: "Bye."
Tina will I hope soon be posting another of her excellent transcriptions to the jb. blog.
This has been a Joint Pie and Peas and Blogstars Chriswas production. Thank you to all the contributors!

Have a great holiday!Ya cunt!Aaahahahahhaaaaaaa!
This was when Steve posted the "I'm back." comment. Nothing further until his dissing of Sex Pistols Experience. Now some people might think that the Rotter is a good thing. AC. did not. I was prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt but I believe that he really is a twat. People like the rotter cook my head! He come's onto the blog like a steam train, like a child seeking attention and probably will not go away now.
However such as he provide a different voice to that which we most commonly read on the blog. The Twatter dialogue was hilarious and Shloe like the serial killer that he is - or thinks he is - rubs his hand with blog glee.
Blogstars? We are all Blogstars!
Some people think that the blog should be shut down - I call repeatedly for logins but they never come. I did not think much of Rotter poetry either...but that is an artistic feeling - I've seen better poetry elsewhere and I doubt Faber and Faber think much of it either. It is to me, "Vogon poetry, the second worst in the universe." Yet people such as the rotter with uncompromising egos provide diversion from what can be seen as too often, one voice. Real life is not like that, none of us share the same opinions on stuff - if we did we would be like automatons. Alison was right - this is about good music and having a bit of a laugh. Unfortunately...I don't find that Rotter v. funny.
Some bloggers believe that Rotter is Shloe, he is a Shloe but is he Shloe? The fighting that goes on in the blog is depressing and circular. The 2nd anniversary show was great - no question of that! But where on earth is this going???
Answers on a post to here, not there HERE where it says "add comment."
Oh and the Rotter is banned from making a comment - until he exhibits something more than fuck shit cunt bollocks, right?
Just settle down like AC said Rotter and it will be OK but if you continue to post crap trying to prove that you are a sex pistol when you are not and never will be, I will ignore you. We've had all sorts on the blog but you for concentrated crap so far AND after saying -nuff said, are too much!

Just settle down like AC said Rotter and it will be OK but if you continue to post crap trying to prove that you are a sex pistol when you are not and never will be, I will ignore you. We've had all sorts on the blog but you for concentrated crap so far AND after saying -nuff said, are too much!

A new pic of me. How exciting is that? An explanation of why the rotter is a thoroughly rotten chap. Some post Sex Pistols experience observations, more pie shaped telephone shennanigans and a trip to Hadrian's wall NOT the Berlin Wall...I shall also be crying wolf - again. The Great Piespace Swindle...

Scoop Piespacemyspace sexjones!!!
The Great Piespace SwInDLe!
When Steve had the myspace dude Tom on the show (pod still available) he was promised a computer to free him from his WebTv setup. Tom created a fantastic my space address:
http://myspace.com/sexjones.
It was a serendipitious choice really because if it weren't for SEX...Such a name has all the subtlety of a brick. The owner of a myspace account named "sexjones" will get a lot of amorous attention. If they are the Sex Pistols guitarist, we are talking going through the roof attention here, so we are!
Lets fast forward a bit. When Steve got his account a lot of us signed up for 1 reason or another. My shiny buddy Jewell made me feel very welcome! Pretty soon its Social Networking power led to us all connecting through our default interests, Punk, Music, Indie 103.1 and Jonesy's Jukebox. Including Jukebox blogger, Pie & Peas who when he setup his myspace account took the name, "piespace."
Steve has brought together many many diverse people through his show. A quick survey of the age group of the people who blog and myspace though reveals that we are pretty much of a similiar era. This is interesting because the vast majority of people on myspace are under 25. It works for oldies, eh? This isn't being ageist or anything, it follows that people of a certain age group will have common ground, life experiences, interests. Stands to reason that just as the youngsters flock together on ms. - so too do we.
The "enjoy" blog was taken from us for reasons too complex and controversial to go into here. We were in a blogless state and only through our own initiative had our secret cave to chat to each other on. I myself myspace e-mailed Steve with no reply about "enjoy!". Pie & Peas took it upon himself to get on the case and I mean bigtime!
Pie e-mailed Steve to get him to bring back the blog. He went so far as to phone the station saying that we were grown ups and could deal with it wurselves. So Mark Shovel then gave us translation blog. Thanks again Shovel! But this isn't the end, as we all know... there is more. Steve then announced on his show that he was going to change his myspace name from sexjones to piespace/sexjones. Pie tells me that he "exploded." Pie 'n' peas everywhere, ceilin, floor, oh Lordy what a mess up etc.
He e-mailed the station again to thank them for the "translation" blog but now asked Steve NOT to use "piespace." Steve when it came to the next broadcast used the name "piespace" again. By now poor ole pie's profile views were going up, his hits and requests to be his friend too. When the stream went titsup, Pie phoned the station again to discuss the poor quality of it... and hallelujah Wobble, who does he get through to? He gets through to the man who can, the ace of etc, Steve Jones.
Steve told Pie he would no longer use his address on air but then of course started with that whole piespace/sexjones thing again on the following show! So Pie un fazed phones back once more and....gets through to Steve...An extract from the email that Pie sent to me follows:
"I say Jonesy you have to stop with the Piespace do you know how many hits I'm gonna get from this?"
He says...
"Consider it flattery and how dare you defy.I'm the sire!"
"How dare you defy!" (all in good humour)
So I just say:
"Run with it mate, goodbye."
That might appear to be that. There is a sequel oh yes. Lol! Actually big fuckoff "lol" painted pink and yellow with neon lights shining "lol", that's what we are talking here. You know the show "Barely Legal? with Joe Escalante, usually before the jukebox but don't quote me. Well Pie is lying in his bed when this idea pops into his "scone" or head to phone that show and ask them a question about Myspace.
He was going to have a little fun and say that his name:
"Defy space"
had been stolen by a radio personality...
"Stevie Smith." :-)
Could he get a:
"Cease and Desist" :-)
....order to stop all these girls from hitting his myspace account and get compensation in the form of, "a valuable tin..and a t-shirt." When Pie got through the girl who was screening the calls to the show was cracking up, creasing, larffing ROFLMAO laughter , she then told him to wait in line on hold and kept him there for 45 of your Earth minutes.
Pie had other fish to fry and in the end gave up. Too bad as he says:
"It would have been a right laugh."
Thanks Pie for telling me this story!
And that's why Steve Jones is a Jackanapes!
Now that has to be worth a comment!
Chris was Anon and Pie and Peas.
